Natural fibers such as cotton, wool and silk have a low water content and a high coefficient of friction, making them more susceptible to static electricity. Synthetic fibers such as polyester, nylon and spandex are often treated with antistatic agents to reduce their static-reducing properties.

Types of Anti-Static Treatments for Polyester
